my date with Fitness First

Currently waiting for Hubster to finish work, so we can head straight to.....

THE GYM.

Hehehehe.
Wah, macam baguskan bunyinya. The fact is that Hubster has been a bit relaxed on his gym schedule, and so do I, since I decided to take a rest day yesterday (I think all of my muscles were screaming at me to let them heal!), gym session is pretty much wajib today.

So how much did I lose (to-date)?
NEGATIVE 2.5 KG.
Yes, I gained weight :(
But a friend of mine commented that I look slimmer (and sometimes I feel slimmer too) so what the heck.
Luaran itu penting, bukan scalenya. Hehehehe.

Anyways, I haven't blogged abt my Fitness First experience right. Well as disclaimer I will have to say that if I am going to post any picture of the gym here, it would have been taken from  the Net, mostly. Or the pic of the pic in my Fitness First kits :P Selalu tak teringat nak snap pics.

So whad'ya wanna know?

CASH

There are 2 membership options - Platinum & Passport.
Passport membership is cheaper, but with restrictions - you have access to all FF clubs in Malaysia except the ones in The Curve, Empire Shopping Gallery & Bukit Tinggi, Klang. Not sure about the international outlets though. Platinum membership, on the other hand, gives access to all FF clubs worldwide.
I chose the latter, going for RM205/month - corporate rate, so they say.

JOINING GIFTS aka STARTER KIT

this, and a water bottle yg dah taktau ke mana hehe

                                          info & classes schedule

CLASSES (GROUP X)

Lots and interesting lots!

That's the schedule for Group X classes. U name it - nari2, lompat2, tumbuk2, weightlifting, cycling..there are also different kinds of yoga classes! I've joined 3 classes so far - Bodyjam, Bodycombat & Easy Moves so I can only make comparison for these 3, in short:

Paling penat: Bodyjam, maybe more to penat otak nak synchronize with the dance moves. Tak pandai gelek weh!

Paling sakit muscle (I call it, effective, hehe): Bodycombat as it involves kicking & punching in the air..and also lots of muscle pumping!

Paling senang: Easy Moves (duhhhh..)

Paling peluh menitik mcm mandi: Bodyjam

Paling fun: Easy Moves

..............Paling best & rasa nak buat lagi: Bodycombat! :)

Nak try kalo, call me. I can bring you in for free experience =)

Blogger vs Wordpress

Confused, confused.

I am actually migrating to Wordpress as i find it more..systematic? Like I can know how many views my blog, any recent comment, who linked me..etc. (macam blogging for money plak hehe) - which I couldn't get - or I dunno how to get that - from Blogger.
But there is o n e problem:
There is no (or again, I couldn't find) bloglist widget - something like we have in Blogger that automatically sorts the bloglinks according to recent updates - as well as the feed for the post title. Although there is mShots - which displays a snapshot of the blog on the link - it is just not good enough. Macam ni rupa dia:

But, I love how easy I could update it, especially bab2 putting in quotes and pictures - which - i find it more banyak songeh in Blogger.

Anybody out there who can help??? Anybody??? Any(hot)body???

On a different note, I got a comment for my previous post, from Verde:

ya, Verde, aku ingat kekurusan ko lepas balik dari practical. Ko jog kat KLCC park kan? =)
Aku sekali je jog walk kat situ, hehehe. Sebab susah xde tempat simpan bag *koff koff.
But then again, u are sooooo right. Mmg jog & walk is the fastest way to lose weight, based on hasil penggooglean aku as I was about to hit the gym. Better still if u cud jog & walk selang-seli in 30 mins to 1 hour daily, 6 days a week. I'll share abt the method in the next posts to come.

Anyway, am still undecided about my battle of Blogger vs Wordpress.

progress update - gym #1

on the treadmill.
program: weight loss

slightly longer update:
went to TTFC alone at first, but then joined by my friend, Bunn. yay! To gymalone ok. Mcm kuat gile willpower kan :P
i was on the treadmill for 1.5 hrs. the first 40 mins was on weight loss mode. like, slow gile ok! not running at all, not even brisk walking. it was more like naik bukit, with inclined platform at super low speed. itu pun i increased my speed to 2.4, before that the fastest was 1.0. macam segan je sbb org lain semua lari2 hehehe.
to make myself feel better, i googled for some info, whether or not i am on the right speed. turns out it is!

"These treadmill weight loss tips are a great way to help you shed a few pounds and shape up. A treadmill is designed for the most natural form of exercise which is walking. You don't need any special skills to use these machines because if you can walk, you can exercise on a treadmill.

Treadmill weight loss is one of the most successful methods of losing weight. Just be consistent and work within your fat burning target range for 45 minutes or more per session at least 5 to 6 days per week.
Here's how it will look; you'll start with your normal three to five minute warm-up and then five minutes into your walk you do your first interval, one minute of faster walking (or perhaps jogging). At the end of that minute you should be "winded" and ready to slow down. You'll slow down to your normal walking speed for the next four minutes and then your fifth minute is another one minute interval. This pattern continues throughout your exercise session"

"Losing fat requires burning more calories than you consume. You don't have to be a runner to efficiently burn the extra calories. Walking can also be a successful method of losing weight if performed for long periods of time (45 minutes or more), at least 5 to 6 days per week. You won't lose much weight by walking only 3 days per week. Frequency and consistency of walking are just as important as the duration of your workouts for weight control. Exercising on a treadmill for weight loss allows you the convenience of working out in the safety and comfort of a climate-controlled environment...anytime of day or night!"

So, walk for now! :)

Mula2 kita set target

Contrary to the plan, the plan to go to TTFC (typo, not TTMC the clinic) did not materialize because it wasnt raining and my colleague wanted to enjoy it in the park instead. We walked, did not jog. Nevermind, start slowlah :)

Planning to go to TTFC with Bunn today, but LoML indicated that he might not need to stayback today. Hopefully his going home time will still be abt 6.30pm as usual.

While chatting to Bunn briefly on YM this morning, since we were so inspired by The Biggest Loser Asia last nite, we agreed to set our own target, which is...

TO LOSE 2 KG MONTHLY, means TO LOSE 2 KG BY 10 APRIL 2010.

Small start hehehe. Slowly, but surely! :)

For record, see fat girl pic as taken on 25th Feb 2010 (latest full-body pic that i have)

See the result on 10 April soon, IF 2 kg make a difference :p

suratan atau kebetulan?

nowadays, my going home time has been between 8.30pm-10pm. nope nope, it wasnt me, its the hubby. HR ni kerja mcm xde esok ok, heran betul..ada jugak manusia mcm ni. after once spooked by konsert ketuk tingkap (i am working at level 78 ok, so tak kelakar), i never stayed back alone in the office anymore. previously, until last week, the after-work activity would be mengukur klcc shopping centre with my heavily pregnant colleague, jj. dan byk juga matawang malaysia bertukar tangan in the process. now that jj dah bersalin yesterday, i need to take up a new activity. (btw jj, congrats for the newborn! remind him that if he likes his baju/stuffs, auntie azni was one of the judge of mama's pick hehe)

so, since there's no sign of my LoML stop staying back in the office anytime soon, but there ARE signs of my lemak2 nak take the limelight, i think inilah petunjuk dr Tuhan. I NEED TO GO TO THE GYM, finally.

i think i'll start tomorrow. the plan is to join fitness first, but since my fitness first friend wont be in tomorrow, i'm planning to go to TTMC pay-per-visitlah, sbb some of my colleagues will be going there tomorrow. so...hehehe...SIAPLAH KO LEMAK2 SEKALIAN!!!
